ReplyDeleteI am from the south too! (TN). I live in Colo now. All I have to say is: YOU GO GIRL!! :) Wow...72 acres. All your gardens and fruit and nut trees. Talking about sustainability, you and your husband are true champions towards Mother Earth for sure. I will be following your BLOG(s) for sure and living my dream through YOU.
ReplyDeleteI want your recipe for Apple Butter! I only want your recipe..nobody else but yours...:)
ReplyDeleteRon Coleman (Northeast Florida -Satsuma ) My wife and I do vegetable canning each year, but not much fruit canning. Looking forward to trying your fruit canning recipes for peaches& strawberries( strawberries just staring to come in down in central Florida area, I have a son and his wife who live in Springfield Missouri and we enjoy our visits all over Missouri. Beautiful Country. I will continue to follow your blog, as I enjoy hearing about country folks who still have gardens and enjoy canning and living off the land. I wish more folks would follow you and your husbands outlook on life. This country would sure be better for it Ron Coleman February 1,2014
ReplyDeleteHi CQ! I've been wanting to write you for a while to let you know that this year I made your Rhubarb Pie and won first place at our County Fair! We got a beautiful blue ribbon, $5. And it brought in almost $30 at the auction the baked goods go to after they're judged. No waste and the county fair gets more funds to continue in the future. Anyways...just wanted to say thanks. I think of you often when I'm looking at my tomatoes for canning. You were the queen! Blessings to you and yours!
