Idle hands are the devils workshop

I always have several projects going at one time. I get bored with one and go to the other. I tend to just bounce back and forth between them. I hardly ever not have a project of some kind going. Right now I am working on a sampler quilt on the quilt frame. I am piecing a quilt with my granddaughter Graci after school. She calls it her monkey quilt. I just finished a new apron and have a scarf that I am embroidering on that I keep by my chair and work on at night while I watch TV. Rosie shares my chair and sits at the end of my recliner by my feet and supervises. Rosie always must supervise. There's a reason the little kids refer to her as Nosie Rosie.

Work in progress!

Coming right along...

I'm waiting for you mama! Just keeping it warm for ya.

But where is Riley? We have lost Riley!!!
Found Riley! See his little ear poking over the couch pillow. Days are long in the Holler for a little black dog!

  1. You are staying busy! I have a couple of projects going, too. And I always read two to three books at the same time, too.

  2. Beautiful hand work there my friend! I always have way too many projects going at one time!!! ADD I guess. I was just thinking this morning about a huge cross stitch sampler that I bought the kit for in Pigeon Forge about 4 years ago.
I paid dearly for it too at a neat little cross stitch specialty store. I have to go and hunt that one up. I don't even remember if I have any stitches started on it or not. That will be a good thing to work on while watching American Idol!!

Are you hand quilting the sampler quilt in the frames?

  3. Yes Rebecca that is all I do is handstitch! Have handstitched quilts for almost 35 years. I am an Idol fan also! So I will be stitching too!

  4. Is Riley a Scottie? We have a Scottie and that nose looks like a Scottie to me.
