The Path

The path to my doors are laden with blessings!

The blossoms of early summer are plentiful. The aromas are varied. No neat rows or dried bark that has been dyed for me. My blossoms tumble in wild abandonment, the picture of disarray. Nestled under the unpretentious cover of the straw of the fields.

The simple blossoms of day lillies and shrub roses mix with the head of the dill and the fragrant basil and chives. Shasta, Rose of Sharon, and Veronica sit alongside peppers and broccoli each beautiful in this gardeners eyes.

The roses not hybrid but hardy shrub roses. They put on a beautiful show despite their lack of pedigree on a hot June day.

Soon the young annuals of Zinnia and Petunias will add to the show. All started from seed on my front porch rail.

And we rejoice in the simplicity of God's splendor!

The shortest path to attaining the state of true man is an open existence with simple garments and a simple diet, praying down to earth and up to the heavens.
