Oh My Goodness Can I come stay a week!!! I love Baby Piglets !Hope they do well .Sending a Blessed Day to you and Mr.O:)
Great names for piglets!
I remember bottle feeding baby pigs! These little fellas are so cute.
Pork and Beans are adorable. Will they be pets or potential meat for the freezer later?
Meat..Every year about this time we buy two piglets. These cost us $35 each. We raise them off the garden scraps and windfall fruit and culls. We may supplement a little grain and we get the throw aways from a neighbor who runs several stands at farmers markets in the city(Kansas City). Between the two farms we feed the pigs and at the end of garden/market season we each have a pig to butcher. Very little grain output and very lean meat. I think this year we are even going to attempt to butcher it ourselves.
If you do them yourselves, I hope you give us a tutorial, CQ.Have a blessed day! ♥
I'm in love! When I was a child my family ran a slaughter house. I would cry every year when we slaughtered a calf for the freezer. I cannot touch an animal let alone care for one then kill it. I know I know I'd never make it as a real farmer. They are soooo darn cute though.
They are cute! The names are cute too!
