Spent from 6:30 to 11:30 am hoeing the north garden. I can again use the hoe although I am not bending much because of my back.
The tomatoes are ripening fast and the red beans are loaded.
Picked 8 heads of broccoli today. Will blanch and freeze tomorrow.
The corn in the south garden has started to put on ears already. Watered today along with the cucumbers.
Row of horticulture beans are up.
Planted another row of Jade green beans for fall.

Sounds like you had a very busy day, as well as fruitful! Happy Gardening! Mindy
ReplyDeleteI just love reading your daily farm journals.
ReplyDeleteI'm new at this, so forgive me for asking-what are horticulture beans?
Blessings,
Marcia
Horticulture beans are white with purple markings that cook down into a thick gravy when cooked.
DeleteI'm enjoying your "Daily Farm Journal" posts. Thank you for sharing the details of your day. :D
ReplyDeleteSome deer just got into our garden and ate all of our broccoli!
