Any of you get the magazine Teen Ink. Baby O has been published in their magazine for the month of March. She submits poems regularly to their website which they publish there but this is the first time she has been published in their magazine. This is actually her second time to be published in a national publication. She is both an avid reader and writer, actually writing her first book manuscript at 13. It consisted of 9,000 pages and she even went through the ordeal of sending it to publishers to be published. No takers but at 13 I thought it was a great endeavor! I personally don't see how a 13 year old can have enough life experience to have 9,000 pages to write about. Sometimes I struggle with a one page blog everyday. She does continue to write both books, poems and essays and has won quite a few different awards through the last few years. Who knows maybe I have an up and coming author on my hands.

And I used to be a writer for fun, too. Ah well.
Baby O does great with poetry. That is one thing I was never good at.

Congratulations to her. Maybe she could hone her writing skills by tackling an edit on those 9000 pages - I'll bet her perspective has already changed.
