For those of you who are regular readers do you remember my post last week on digging up my Hosta and finding extensive vole damage. This year has been a bad year for voles. The other problem is that I like to mulch to keep weeds down. Many of my gardens have a heavy layer of bark, straw or grass, or some combination of the three. The mulch not only discourages weeds, it holds moisture and enriches the soil. It also provides cover for the voles. The dogs love to dig the voles but dig up the garden plants in the process. We set out mouse traps for the voles and caught the dogs. TWICE!
What's a girl to do? So I lifted it to the Lord.
That's right I got on my knees and asked the Lord to handle it...I am a worrier and I have been attempting to let things go more. To let the lord do my worrying over the little things.
He heard me
A week later I walked out on the sidewalk by the flower garden to this sight!
Wow is that divine intervention or what?
He sent snakes and snakes eat voles ( and frogs) : )
Although maybe not my idea of the ideal solution a solution none the less.

I'd almost take the voles over that one. I HATE snakes!! We have copperheads and timber ratttlers here along with some non-venomous snakes. I don't care which kind they are.... I don't like them!.
ReplyDeleteI guess everything has a purpose, and you didn't have to tell God how she should handle it...:o)
ReplyDeleteI'm a worrier, too, though I try to leave it in God's hands, also.
ReplyDeleteQuick answer! Hope they cut down on the voles, too.
Yep-I'd say that was an answer!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got an answer!! I'm not sure I could have stayed around to take the photo, LOL!
