The Eagles Have Arrived

Every year about this time we await the arrival of old friends. The Bald Eagles. They follow the migratory geese and duck flocks feeding off the sick and injured ones. We live very close to a federal migratory bird refuge so every year they arrive and spend their winters here. You will occasionally see them in a field or beside the gravel roads in the country feeding off of a dead deer carcass.

  1. That's great. I loved to watch them when we lived in Alaska; and there is a pair that we see every so often when we drive to Greenville.

    Enjoy your weekend! :)

  3. Beautiful!

We had one last year during the snow...a sight I have never seen here, only along the river.

How have I missed all these wonderful posts??
