Signs of Spring

It is still awfully cool here in Hickery Holler. But the daffodils are blooming and hope is in the air that soon spring will indeed be upon us. With endless days of rain last week the grass is greening up and we will be mowing in no time. I have not blogged for a long time as I have been horribly sick. I watched my grandchildren for a week the first of March and as babies are they managed to share a horrible head cold with all three of us. O Wise One and Baby O recovered pretty fast but no such luck for me. My head cold worsened going into my chest and finally my middle ear setting up a terrible middle ear infection. Times have not been fun for the Canned Quilter for a few weeks. There have been days when I have literally been too sick to even sit up. Loss of equilibrium is a horrible feeling. I am on the mend now and I promised my doctor that I would ease back into things and take it somewhat easy so bear with me.

For all of you that have emailed and personally contacted me inquiring about my health and well being during my absence all I can say is God Bless you all.

Blessings from The Holler

  11. I'm so sorry you and your family were sick! We've had a similar sicknesses making the rounds in my office. Nasty stuff! It hangs on forever! I was sick for probably a month. You are right. It would go from my head to my chest, to my eye! YUCK! Hopefully you will be back to yourself soon although it does take a while to get back after such a thing.

I'm hearing the sun's going to shine and we're expecting 75 degrees this weekend in Missouri. Woo hoo! Maybe that will make you feel lots better!

Take care and so good to see your post this morning!! Take it easy! Its especially tough when the whole family is sick.

  14. CQ, it is so good to hear from you!! Frank and I have both had a terrible, long lasting cold that seems to have lasted forever - about a month for each of us. I brought it home from school and had it first, so I am finally over it. He is much better, but still very tired. It has been a strange winter. I pray that you will continue to mend.
