Ten bean and sausage soup. Just a mixture of 3 cups of 10 dried beans washed. Then water, onions, garlic lemon juice, half pound sliced sausage, salt, pepper, and chili powder and let simmer on the back of the stove all afternoon.

And skillet AuGratin Potatoes made with those Hickery Holler homegrown dehydrated potatoes.

Add a small pan of hot rolls and you have a meal : )

Hope everyone has a great meal and see you Monday morning!

  1. Hey CQ, that dinner sounds delicious! Wish my husband would eat soup in the summer. I keep telling him that the heat from the soup will make him cooler, in the long run, he doesn't buy it. I would love a pot of cream of tomato soup w/grilled cheese sandwiches right now!

  2. Yum! I love beans of any kind.

  3. I'd love it if you can share your recipe for Au Gratin potatoes! I dehydrated 10 pounds of potato slices a couple of months ago, and would love some new ways to use them.

  4. I love hearty soups like this-looks yummy

  5. Yum yum!! Wish we had smell-a-vision.. It looks great!
I love your new header photo of the blackberries.. mine are loaded this year too!

  6. I second that on the potato recipe. Any tips? Mine never quite come out right.

  7. One of these days I'm going to surprise you and show up just in time for supper.

  8. Got a recipe for the auGratin potatoes? Never quite know how much dehydrated slices to sauce to make. Yours look delicious

  9. Never knew of skillet potatoes like that, I'll have to try it.
