Just a quick note this morning to let everyone know that I am still here. It has only been a few days since the last snow storm. Just got everything cleared to the pens and sheds and the roads all clear. Now we are going for round 2. This is a heavy wet snow and already the lights are blinking.
We have already gotten another good 6 inches this morning and it is supposed to snow all day.
With lots of sewing and quilting projects and a refrigerator of prepared food I am headed upstairs to snuggle down. I feel a Murder She Wrote marathon coming on. I love Netflix. There are like 250 episodes of that show and no way I have seen them all. So I have decided that I am going to watch them all for the rest of the year to see all the ones I missed originally. This could take awhile so be patient with me. Baby O had to intervene between her father and I the other night as we had a disagreement about who did it...I was right!!
Hope to see everyone on the other side of this storm.
If the good lord is willing and the creek don't rise.

I am in northwest Missouri, a few miles north of St. Joe. It is nasty out there. We live on an east/west road so it is drifting bad. Our lights have blinked a few times, so praying we don't lose power. We do have a backup kerosene heater if we do, but we would be in the dark. LOL I love your blog. Nothing like reading about a fellow Missourian's homestead. Stay safe and warm. Winona
ReplyDeleteHi, Winona! Always nice to hear from a fellow Missourian. Our farm is over by Maysville, which isn't too far from you. Right now, we're in KC and I agree that it's quite a mess out there.
DeleteIf you get a chance, would love to have you stop by my blog and say hello.
We were suppose to get hit with this storm yesterday leaving several inches and high winds. The storm was suppose to start about 1PM and continue on through the early morning hours of today. Around 2 AM it started snow and blowing, when we woke this morning absolutely nothing was on the ground. I thank God for the moisture we've been receiving. We lucked out once again on not getting hit badly as predicted.
ReplyDeleteHunker down, keep warm and enjoy your marathon of Murder She Wrote :-)
We are to be getting the same storm here late this afternoon or evening ! Here they don't know if it will carry snow , rain or freezing rain as it will depends on what the temps are when it hits ! Glad all are safe and cozy there ! I have seen all the Murder She Wrote episodes last year when the weather was bad for almost a week ! Fire wood all stacked inside and wood stove is going prepared for what ever this storm brings ! Have a good day and enjoy your show !
ReplyDeletegood day to snuggle in, I had no idea Murder She Wrote had that many episodes, we watch it every night at 7pm, I think I'll check Net Flixs, no commercials!!!Take care,
ReplyDeleteHope you stay warm, dry & safe!
ReplyDeleteIf the good lord is willing and the creek don't rise. I love this saying..
ReplyDeleteThats a different world out there for you Missourians, thats for sure.. Its not such an oddity here in Ohio, but I still enjoy a good snuggle in and enjoy the peace while I can..
Hope your power stays on.. its just no fun when its out..
Blessings!
Evening, CQ. Hope you're faring well after this storm passed through. This heavy snow has done a number on the roof of our house addition, but we knew it was on its last legs and were planning on replacing it this Spring. I hope you had none such drama at your place!
ReplyDeleteIt originally was supposed to hit us up here but it veered and missed us this second time around. The first one only gave us a few inches of light fluffy stuff. My heart goes out to you. Stay safe. Stay warm. Enjoy Netflix, but get some quilting done too for heaven's sake LOL Spring IS coming :-)
ReplyDeleteI hope that everything is ok there. It seems that everytime you get snow, we get freezing rain here. Yuck! I hope that you got some Netflix time in. Hopefully spring is right around the corner.
