These days as in the years past most of my days are spent dealing with the blessings of mother nature's abundance. This time of year makes for long days on my feet over a hot stove, canner or many hours spent peeling and chopping my harvest to prepare it. The laundry backs up, the chores go undone, hopefully to be caught up at another time when the harvest is in jars of freezer. And to be perfectly honest here, by the end of the season you almost don't care if you ever see another apple, pumpkin, squash or potato again in your life. In the back of your mind you know that it will all soon be over and things will slow and winter will come. A time of rest, a time to recover.
And then...............
Mother nature ................
Decides to play with my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She Loves you so much!
ReplyDeleteOh I am sorry it has been a very trying year for many. At least you have some apples we on the other hand have none on our two trees.
ReplyDeleteI love MarmePurl's comment so true:) B
Hi There @ Hickory Holler Farm - first time visitor - saw this blight on some of our trees round here too. Also, quite a few Maple Trees, seem to be suffering from something that attacked the leaves???? I like the little I have read on your site and will be back to read some more. Have a wonderful day from Atlantic Canada. Lilly
ReplyDeleteIs that really a blossom on your tree WITH the apples? Very strange. She's having a joke on you.
