Sunday Evening July 8th, 2012
Up at my usual before daylight to water rabbits, pigs, chickens and turkeys and feed all. Then move on to watering and feeding all the dogs and distributing water to everyone.
Picked nice batch of squash and tomatoes.
Okra has a horrible case of aphids so sprayed garlic spray early before it got hot.
Started sprinklers at 5:30 to water part of the garden.
Grapes are starting to ripen.
Peaches are gone. No peaches this year. Blackberries are still salvageable but require watering almost every day. Apples and plums I just don't know.
Field peas are loaded and red beans are too they both need water to fill out as does the corn. Fall green beans are coming up after watering for 2 days in a row.
Have watermelons, cantaloupe and baby cucumbers on the vine. Squash and zucchini are making good so far.
Two loads of wash on the line before church.
Then we got a Sunday miracle !!!! Rain
That laundry is just gonna hang there till tomorrow : )
