Graci's Monkey Quilt

This is my grandaughter Graci Kate. Every thursday Graci rides the bus home to Grandmas house so we can work on her monkey quilt. I made one with my oldest Grandaughter Julian Claire. So for Christmas I gave Graci all the makins for her own. Every Tuesday in January we met and worked on her quilt.

First we cut out the squares of both flannel and batting. Yes hundreds of them.

Then we sandwiched our square of batting between two squares of flannel.

Then we pinned them and drew a sew line on them...
Graci did not like the cutting and pinning. She says that is the boring part...

Riley says if you guys are taking pictures I want a turn!

Well we are at the fun part according to Graci and that is sewing the seams.

Well monkey day has been moved to Thursday because Graci now has piano lessons on Tuesday. A little girl can't take too much learnin in one day.

Stay tuned for future updates on Graci's Monkey Quilt...
