It's my first jar of Hickery Holler Hooch ! I bottled 5 quarts of it and Baby O even made me some tags to go on the bottles. For now I am just gonna put it in mason jars to let it age. Right now it smells pretty strong and alcoholic. I am hoping it will mellow as it ages. After 6months it is supposed to taste much better. If they all turn out okay I will invest in a corker and some bottles. For right now we are pretty simple people and will drink it out of mason jars. Another project completed and the grape wine down. Peach and watermelon/strawberry to go !

Goodmorning Momma Hooch!:))) I am up early and enjoying the peace and quiet in this big old farmhouse~ How fun to see your post pop up fresh off the press! The Hooch looks beautiful! Simple people are the best kind, right?! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the hooch! I will need some because hell has frozen over. My dad called yesterday morning and said he was heading in this direction today.
ReplyDeleteThat stuff looks great! Don't worry about bottles and corks, the mason jars just give it that country charm! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Congratulations. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't drink but your Hooch looks inviting. When I was buying my first Crystal glasses with much deliberation, the salesman said "Miss, they will drink out of a jelly jar as long as it's free :o) I never forgot that and P.S. he was right.Ginny
ReplyDeleteHooch! Proud of you, I have dabbled in wine. I think elderberry was the best batch.
