Not one but two snow storms back to back have visited us this week. Everything is covered with a blanket of white.
Not much activity outside other than making sure the animals are all comfortable with plenty of fresh water, warm bedding and good food.
More snow than we have seen in a long time.
But on the inside we are still gardening. The sweet potatoes are just starting to sprout. These slips will gradually get larger and will become next springs sweet potato slips once rooted.
I have been doing lots of knitting for the Newborns in Need organization. Lots of little sweaters, hats and booties and some blankets as well. This box is ready to go as soon as the road is clear to get to the post office.
My mailbox has become a victim of the snow plow AGAIN!
In the meantime lots of hot tea, reading, movie watching and seed catalog dreaming.

Glad you're staying warm! The first snowstorm missed us -- looked like it rained here -- but we got about an inch on Thursday. I hope the tulip & daffodil bulbs I planted late will make it!
ReplyDeleteI have planted them late before and they almost always make it.
