It started last night with lightning, thunder and heavy rain. This morning we arose to a blanket of white and 40 mile an hour winds. Snow is blowing and drifting unmercifully....
But for now we are snug and warm.
I put a batch of spaghetti sauce in the crock pot and have homemade garlic bread rising. We shall snuggle in and watch tv, read and I have plenty of seed catalogs to dream over for the day. Other than making sure all the animals have plenty of food, water and warm bedding we are fortunate that we really don't have to get out and fight the snow anymore going to outside jobs and such. Baby O is snuggling up with an English paper she is working on and all is well with the world.

Here in NW Indiana... Rain, rain and more rain. We are usually sitting beneath snow by now. Not really complaining. City plows always block the drive and makes shoveling ten times harder. My back enjoys the reprieve.
ReplyDeleteOh, my! It looks like Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe got rain, thank goodness.
I have to say, I really enjoy your photos...very talented! Here in South Texas we don't get much snow, other than a flake or two floating by, if we're lucky. So, I appreciate these gorgeous photos of yours! We've had crazy warm weather this year, with an occasional cold night here and there...my fruit trees don't know which way to go!
ReplyDeleteI'm busy going thru my seed catalogs, too. It's good to dream!
We had nasty weather last night, too. And it is blowing here today as well. We only had rain though.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got some moisture!
Stay warm and Merry Christmas! ♥
