I am working today on canning chores. Seems I am running low on canned dry beans. We use these to make refried beans, chili with beans and taco soup. If you would like to follow along you can find a link to my tutorial below on canning dried beans.

Oh WOW ! Do you ever sleep there lol ! Thanks for sharing ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteI want a can of your energy.
ReplyDeleteYou are one busy lady. Have you ever tried to can the beans w/o cooking them? I saw a post (that of course, I can't find now) where they just filed the jars about 1/3 full, filled w/ hot water & salt & processed them that way.
ReplyDeleteI am still drooling over your bakers cabinet! My Grandmother had an enamel one, but it wasn't as large as yours.
I recently canned pork and beans without precooking them for the first time. They turned out okay but I reverted back to the old way of doing them just out of habit I think....kinda like teaching an old dog a new trick : )
DeleteHaha. I agree with Gail. You could make a fortune selling canned energy. ;o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post and the links, CQ! Have a blessed weekend!
