More grapes to make into juice.....
And cucumbers into pickles....
And squash to be frozen......
And the sauerkraut was ready to put in jars......
And green onions to be dehydrated.....
And MORE corn.....
And rabbits to be butchered....
Then the neighbor....bless his heart.... brought us 10 pounds of catfish fillets to put in the freezer : )
And no pictures of the blackberries that had to be put in the freezer and the 5 gallon bucket of red beans to be shelled...
Is it winter yet : )
Blessings from the Holler
The Canned Quilter
What a wonderful harvest you have had. I would love the recipe for the sauerkraut if you would please share it.
ReplyDeleteBy the way the pictures are just beautiful! Hugs, Bobbi Jo
The same thing is happening here. Marcy is canning, freezing, drying and sharing fresh produce with every one she can.
ReplyDeleteShe has tried a new recipe for dehydrated cantalope...with ginger and powered sugar. I have been priviledged to test the first batch...mmmmmm, mushmelon candy!
Your posts make me hungry, CQ.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so wonderful! I hope you're all doing well. :)
I want to come live at your house at dinner time :o) What a marvelous harvest...Post that Sauerkraut recipe
ReplyDeleteSeriously! No matter how wonderful the jars look, there is a point when you just can't wait for canning season to end. :-)
