Early Morning Visitors

Even though at times I find these animals to be the most infuriating animals on my farm I still get a little thrill when I wake up early in the morning to find them grazing so close to the house. This morning it was a doe and two yearlings ambling along and grazing.

With such a mild winter and early warm weather they have plenty to eat and the deer herd looks to be healthy and fat.

Sure beats waking up to sirens and traffic noise.

  1. They do like to pick the best things in the garden to eat. We have tried many things, even Dad had eight foot fences. Nothing works to keep them out but Ki-Anne. This is her own personal night job.

Just look at them and imagine...tenderloin.

  2. They look quit content there in your field! Guess they are eyeballing your garden!

  3. They're so calm and serene, because they know they don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. They still have daffodils to choose from.

  4. Amen to waking to mother nature, animals instead of sirens and traffic noise.

  6. I love my early visit also. Love to have coffee with them, but please they can stay out of the garden!
