As time goes by O Wise One and I have developed a contentment for the most simple of things in our lives. The blessings of a warm home on a cold winter day. The smell of fresh baked bread hot from the oven.
Fresh brewed home grown hot mint tea and locally grown honey.
And a floor full of grandsons to play with. And DINOSAURS!!
Blessings from The Holler
The Canned Quilter
I have been content to stay in my warm home this winter and smell the aroma of something baking coming out of the oven. Love the picture of the children playing!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wonderful life to me. Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWow that bread looks delicious and makes me hungry :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, the best blessings are the simple things that we sometimes take for granted. Recently I have been feeling very blessed by some of the same things you mentioned: a warm home, nourishing food, my family's health, a husband that loves me and that I love as well, being able to stay home and the list goes on. A great reminder to thank God for those blessings.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a good winter for slowing down and being grateful for such things.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post. I too love the simple things, God is so good to help us know its those things which are available to most everyone and least expensive that are so precious.
ReplyDeleteNice post. I am amazed at how much better homegrown peppermint tea is than any other.
