With turkey gnats swarming and me allergic it did not take me long to figure out why my husband wanted me in the house. Salisbury steaks topped with smothered Vidalia onions and mushroom gravy, mashed garlic potatoes and corn. If the turkeys and I spend many more days in the house he will need bigger pants : )
Gypsy has spent the day guarding our house guests in the laundry room.
As for me I did get my fall seed order sent off for a few seeds that I thought I was a little short of.
I also got the started broccoli and cabbage seeds and planted a new planting of lettuce seeds in trays.
But mostly I puttered in the kitchen while heat indexes outside exceeded 100. All the animals seemed to have fared alright though.
They are predicting a chance of rain for tonight and we sure could use a good shower.

Isn't that old set of dishes beautiful! O Wise One bought them for me as a wedding present. They look so old fashioned..Thanks for the comment.
