From CQ With Love

Just a little note to thank all of you for the heart warming birthday wishes for both myself and Baby O this month. September was a big month in my family for birthdays. My Dad's birthday was the 4th, Baby O's the 8th, my younger brother Mike's the 9th,  younger brother Tim (deceased) the 15th and mine on the 20th.

Thank you all for all the suggestions for a wedding quilt for my newly engaged youngest son. Such an exciting future for my family with a wedding in our future for my son and a new grandbaby to my oldest daughter in April.

Things are really busy right now on the farm with apples and all the fall vegetables. Not to mention trying to get everything ready for the upcoming winter. With the weather so erratic of late I have to wonder what the coming winter has in store for us. I must admit that I am getting weary of canning after a long hot summer. I am ready to curl up in my recliner and catch up on my reading and spend cold days tucked under my mother's quilt frame working on quilts and dreaming of spring.

As Fall arrives and we all start to get geared up for Halloween and Thanksgiving I just want to thank you all for your continued visits and let you know how much I appreciate you all.

Blessings from The Holler

  1. Wonderful informative post and beautiful picture.

I purchase the Jade beans for my fall crop and they are bountiful even on 2 20ft rows. I will plant these again.

Thank you for all of your helpful posts.

I'm with you . . . ready for cooler weather. This summer was been a hot dry, never ending heat wave. Keep smiling, Steve

  3. Just wanted to thank you for letting us have a window into your daily rounds! I enjoy reading about what is going on in your neck of the woods so much. Oh,I made up your "Daddy's Tomato Gravy" and we just loved it!! But being a Northerner....I am going to try mashed potatoes with it next time instead of biscuits. I am sure it is blasphemy, but what else can you expect from a northerner?!?! :-) Darlene

  4. You're so sweet. I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I also enjoy checking in on you and see what's going on up in your part of the state. I see that you already have color in your trees. It'll probably be a couple of weeks for the color to reach my part of the woods. - Blessings!
