I know this is a scary and worrisome time for your family. I have prayed for her and will continue to do so and hope all turns out well. I have a daughter who has chronic pain which doctor's have not been able to diagnose so I understand how worried you must be. I would appreciate your prayers for my daughter when you get things settled at your home. I don't have a blog but enjoy reading yours so much and am amazed at all you accomplish for your family. I do not have a garden but used to have a large vegetable garden and "put up" lots of food which my family enjoyed. If someone has a problem, we pray for them. I am glad that Baby O is doing better. As a heart attack survivor and now I have an ICD, I made sure that I had the best doctors in the area. Always ask questions and feel comfortable with the answers. When I had my ICD implanted, my heart rate when to 190. When I was in my room recovering, it did it again. The dr that did my implant asked me if I had ever had this before and I had told him no. My heart attack was a year and a half before the implant. We still don't know what caused it, but my pacemaker has helped a lot. I am hoping and praying that Baby O will get encouraging news.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8603192921512857639.post-89147981776014979482013-09-07T12:49:50.531-05:002013-09-07T12:49:50.531-05:00Still praying...but so glad she's home. That is what my docs told me 25 yrs ago, didn't make sense to me but what did I know. Then I went into labor with baby #4, heart rate of 220, needed a cardiologist in the delivery room while I was so embarrassed thinking he will KNOW I am a nut case, certifiable. Well, after internal electrical studies (called EPS) turns out it is WPW, Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, not all that uncommon and NOT from stress. 5 yrs later and I was now a cardiac RN and funny I never heard docs saying that males with fast heart rates were victims of anxiety! Any-who, I had the internal studies and treatment (they burn a tiny section in my heart's electrical pathways tossing up a roadblock on that fast lane, and it was cured. What was novel 25 yrs ago is common treatment today. Oh, my problem did not show up on a home monitor until a couple years after the labor issue, then when it did I got a call telling me to get to the hospital FAST, the monitor showing episodes of heart rate up to 400, very serious. I shrugged, having a tired cranky toddler clutching my leg, still in scrubs fromn work, but I did get on over there after serving dinner to my family and had it treated. So glad that Baby O is home, now you will have to be strong and advocate for a diagnosis that is NOT anxiety. My daughter could have suffered very serious damage from my heart rate in delivery, thank goodness she is fine. Oh, my aunt had the same condition, she was treated about 10 yrs after me, in her late 60's and she is also now cured. So, just things to keep in mind when the dust settles and maybe the home monitor doesn't show anything. As we grows older, it becomes harder and harder for the body to handle this problem, makes very good sense to treat it while patients are young and otherwise healthy. A specialist called an Electrophysiologist is the particular cardiologist to handle the diagnosis and treatment and for sure it should be at a large, well respected medical facility. My docs were from Mass General, cutting edge for this diagnostic and treatment at that time, but they travelled to our local hospital once a month and so thats where I had my treatment, and cure. Prayers going out to yawl. I understand the stress, relief, etc and most of all the really nice feeling of sleeping once again in your own bed surrounded by loved ones.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07284776865817561195noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8603192921512857639.post-65038510932200696432013-09-07T10:15:13.316-05:002013-09-07T10:15:13.316-05:00I am so happy Baby O is home.
