Do you usually incubate eggs each year to raise more meat? We hatch around 30-50 chicks a year. This gives us a new laying flock and meat for the freezer or to can. As she got older we would take her out everyday and put her in a tractor in the front yard. She has now graduated to a pen of her own with another really nice hen. Trying to slowly break in the news to her slowly that she is a CHICKEN! She continues to grown and we hope to eventually graduate her to the hen house with all the other ladies.
